1. Preparation
Gather all ingredients and tools: a pot for boiling noodles, a saucepan for broth, and a bowl for serving.
Chop the green onions and set aside.
Slice the cooked pork or chicken into thin pieces.
Prepare the soft-boiled eggs by boiling them for 6-7 minutes, then cooling them in ice water before peeling.
Measure out the soy sauce, miso paste, and sesame oil.
2. Cooking Broth
In a saucepan, add 4 cups of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Stir in the miso paste and soy sauce until fully dissolved.
Add the garlic and ginger, letting them infuse for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
3. Cooking Noodles
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil.
Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually 3-4 minutes).
Once cooked, drain the noodles and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
4. Assembling the Ramen
In each serving bowl, place a portion of the cooked noodles.
Ladle the hot broth over the noodles.
Top with sliced pork or chicken, chopped green onions, and a soft-boiled egg cut in half.
Drizzle with a few drops of sesame oil for added flavor.
