Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 1. Edamame pods
  • 2. Salt

Cooking method

1. Preparation

Fill a medium pot with water and add a generous pinch of salt.

Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.

Measure out approximately 400g of edamame pods.

2. Cooking

Bring the salted water to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, add the rinsed edamame pods to the pot.

Blanch the edamame in the boiling water for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, drain the edamame in a colander.

Rinse the edamame under cold running water to stop the cooking process.

Transfer the edamame to a serving bowl.

3. Serving

Sprinkle additional sea salt or coarse salt over the edamame to taste.

Serve the edamame warm or at room temperature.
