1. Preparation
Gather all ingredients: fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Wash the tomatoes and basil under cold running water to remove any dirt.
Pat the tomatoes and basil dry gently with a clean cloth or paper towel.
Slice the tomatoes into approximately 1/4-inch thick rounds.
Slice the mozzarella cheese into approximately 1/4-inch thick rounds.
Make sure the basil leaves are whole and intact.
2. Assembling
On a large serving plate, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella in a circular pattern.
Place a fresh basil leaf between each slice of tomato and mozzarella for visual appeal.
Continue arranging until all slices are used and the plate is filled.
3. Finishing Touches
Drizzle olive oil generously over the assembled salad.
Optional: Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the salad for added flavor.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper over the top to enhance the taste.
