1. Preparation
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Gather all your ingredients: chicken breasts, almonds, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, egg, and flour.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Chop the almonds into small pieces using a food processor or a knife until coarsely ground but not dust.
In a shallow bowl, mix the chopped almonds, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
In another shallow bowl, beat the egg until fully combined.
Place the flour in a third shallow bowl.
2. Coating the Chicken
Take one chicken breast and dredge it in the flour, shaking off any excess.
Next, dip the floured chicken breast into the beaten egg, ensuring it is coated evenly.
Finally, press the chicken breast into the almond-breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
Repeat the process with the remaining chicken breasts.
3. Cooking
Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
Spray the tops of the chicken with cooking spray to help it brown.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
Check the internal temperature of the chicken with a meat thermometer; it should reach 165°F (75°C) for safe consumption.
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
